Intro Spellwork for you hormones
Hello again. This is an introduction to the hormone practice. I did the hormone practice and then I thought, it needs a little more explanation and context for what I'm trying to put through.
I'm sitting right in front of my ritual space and I have a bowl of water to represent the water element. I have candles burning behind me to represent fire and transformation.
As well as I had many earth offerings or gifts to me, eagle feathers that I found and beautiful rocks like the Amethyst and as well as dear ancestors of mine. So perhaps you have a space where you'd like to practice this embodying your hormones and do it in a way that it is a ritual.
The hormone practice is a way to bring in more curiosity about your body and to befriend your body, which is especially helpful, I think, during this time of perimenopause. Befriending my body has been a ritual practice of mine for about 20 years, as I've had illness at times and chronic pain associated with that. And it's not been particularly easy for me to befriend my body.
But through practices such as this and a lot of time of looking at trauma and lots of different therapies, I now have a deep love for my body. And I'd like to share some of the practices that have helped me do so. So while you're in perimenopause, you can walk alongside your body with more love and care. And maybe that will help make the perimenopausal experience easier.
Rituals are a way to support ourselves when we are moving into a different stage of life. And rituals are often done in a communal space. If you want to practice rituals with your friends and your community members, I would encourage this. Please share this course with your friends and your loves. This is what inspired us to come up with this offering.

In this next video, the embodied ritual is about bringing attention to your hormones and the importance is not what you're doing, it's how you are connecting. I think our bodies love attention. I feel when you bring conscious awareness to your heart, for instance, your heart feels that.
I think the act of admiration, like really being in awe for how your body creates hormones and does a million other incredible things, keeping you alive on this earth creates a sort of spell, a love spell for your body. That admiration is a love spell. As I go through this portal of time, as long as I get to be here, because I don't know how long I'll get to be here for,
I want to create as many love spells for my body as possible. And I offer that as an invitation to you as well. What kind of love spells can you create for your body?
So try this ritual practice. I did it with water and flowers, but you can also use leaves. Could use chia seeds or flax seeds that would float in the water, anything that floats. Or go to the grocery store and find some petals that will float in water. I think the petals are especially kind of beautiful.
Or make a ritual up on your own, but become curious about your body and your hormones. That's what this practice is about. And about your hormonal system or about the changes that are happening with the perimenopausal experience, I think start with connecting into your endocrine system. There's also a written document that will give you information.
To then move you into this practice.
